Hello!

My name is John and I am thrilled to be running the 2024 NYC Marathon to raise money for Keep a Child Alive! 

Co-founded in 2003 by Alicia Keys to provide essential support to children suffering with HIV/AIDS, KCA now has programs across Africa and Asia and reaches 150,000 children, young people and adults. KCA works shoulder to shoulder with front line activists and local partners to deliver thematic programs that lift people out of poverty, gain access to education and secure a low impact, sustainable future.

As I train for this 26.2-mile race, my goal is to raise over $5,000 to support the incredible work done by KCA. I hope you will support me in my efforts to give children a brighter future. The breakdown below may help contextualize how consequential your donation can be: 

$30: Provides one month of comprehensive, life-saving care to a child living with HIV

$75: Offers a place to live including care for an orphaned child for one month

$100: Feeds two families in South Africa impacted by HIV for a month

$250: Pays for skills training and a loan to start a small business, enabling Indian mothers to support their families

$500: Provides a pregnant Ugandan woman with 18 months of care, everything she needs to prevent mother-to-child transmission to her baby

Contributions to KCA will go toward KCA programs in Africa and Asia.
