Story
Hello all,
I've been given the honor to represent an amazing foundation in Keep A Child Alive. Co-founded in 2003 by Alicia Keys, KCA provides support to children suffering from HIV/AIDS across Africa and Asia. In their 21 years they've impacted the lives of over 1.8 million children!
To make such a tremendous impact they work with front line activists and local partners to help lift people out of poverty, gain access to education, and secure a greater future for children and families impacted by HIV/AIDS.
Joseph was a young boy in Rwanda when he lost his father to HIV. He then learned that he, too, was HIV positive. KCA and their local partner, WE-ACTx for Hope, provided Joseph the treatment that helped regain his health. On his treatment journey Joseph discovered yoga, which gave him hope. "Being HIV positive doesn't mean you have to die... it's possible if you have the hope of living". Joseph now trains yoga and helps others find a sense of hope.
On November 3rd, 2024, I will be running the NYC marathon on behalf of Keep a Child Alive. My goal is to raise $5,000 to support the work done by KCA. If you can make a donation to help reach this goal it would mean the world. Thank you for your thoughtful contribution.
